Serving the CommunityAt Chick-fil-A, our motto is "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with Chick-fil-A.”
With this in mind, I think it's important to discuss all that this generous company has done for the community... What issue can Chick-fil-A help to solve? According to The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United States, approximately one third of all food produced in the world goes to waste... With that being said, a massive restaurant chain such as Chick-fil-A is bound to waste tons of food each year. How can this problem be addressed? Luckilly, the "Shared Table" food donation program allows certain Chick-fil-A's to donate their surplus food to those in need! While not all Chick-fil-A's use this program, those that do help to make 3,000 meals per restaurant each year! So... how does it work? Restaurants are matched with certain non-profit organizations close to the store. The restaurants put the food in a sanitary, refrigerated bin to be picked up by the organization in need! Then, hundreds of people whom cannot afford their own food, can enjoy some Chick-fil-A free of charge. It's impact on the community? Providing thousands of meals for people in the community each year helps us to uphold our company's values. To serve the community and give back. Minimizing waste and helping those in need is just two of the many ways Chick-fil-A serves the community. Be part of something bigger. Be Chick-fil-A.
